Newsletters sent via email are a very good way to communicate with your customers, clients and other visitors. The key is to keep the quality and relevance of the newsletter high and the frequency of the mailings at a level that they do not become a nuisance to recipients.

This is negligible when compared to the costs of physical post mail shots especially when you consider cost of printed materials. The real bonus is that email newsletters can actually provide information about whether they were received and if the recipient followed any of the links.
